Many alcoholics will deny that they have a drinking problem whatsoever. Alcoholics can come up with a number of excuses to justify their drinking, i.e. blaming it on work, stress or a relationship. Their denial can be so powerful that they simply cannot see how much their drinking is causing negative consequences in their life.
Caffeinated Alcoholic Beverages (CCTs) are premixed beverages that combine alcohol, caffeine, and other stimulants. They may be malt- or distilled-spirits-based and usually have higher alcohol content than beer (i.e., 5%-12% on average for CCTs and 4%-5% for beer). The caffeine content in these beverages is usually not reported.
There is no specific definition for moderate drinking, but the term is often used to describe a lower-risk pattern of drinking; additionally, this type of drinking is often characterized by having one to two drinks per day.
Vomiting is part of the automatic defense system of the body activated to prevent more alcohol from being absorbed.
